Melt butter in a big skillet, mix in sliced apples, both sugars, and the spices. Keep stirring until the apples soften up. Sprinkle flour and cornstarch over it, then stir until thick. Turn off heat, add the lemon juice, and let it cool fully.

Stack the pie crust sheets, then roll them into a roughly 11-inch by 18-inch rectangle. Spread the cooled filling evenly across the dough.

Roll the dough up tightly into a log shape. Slice it down the middle lengthwise, then twist both pieces together, cut sides facing out.

Brush the dough with the egg wash, toss some coarse sugar on top, and bake it in a 375°F oven for 18-20 minutes, or until golden.
