Cheesy Beef Rice Bake (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 1 medium onion, finely diced
02 - 1 teaspoon paprika
03 - 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional for topping)
04 - ½ teaspoon black pepper
05 - 1 cup sour cream
06 - 1 can (10.5 oz) mushroom soup
07 - 1 lb ground beef
08 - ½ cup milk
09 - 2 cloves of garlic, crushed
10 - 1½ cups pre-cooked white rice
11 - ½ cup frozen peas (optional)
12 - ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese (leave the rest for the topping later)
13 - 1 teaspoon salt

# Instructions:

01 - Start by setting your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a baking dish (9-by-13 inches).
02 - In a pan, cook the ground beef along with garlic and onion. Add paprika, salt, and pepper after it starts browning. Once cooked, pour off extra grease.
03 - Get a big mixing bowl. Stir together the soup, milk, and sour cream. Add the beef mix, rice, ½ cup cheese, and peas if you'd like. Mix it all up.
04 - Spoon the mixture into the baking dish. Spread evenly, then sprinkle the rest of the cheese over the top.
05 - Bake it for about 25-30 minutes until the cheese is golden and bubbling.
06 - Pull it out of the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. If you'd like, sprinkle parsley on top before serving it warm.

# Notes:

01 - Make sure the rice is ready to go before adding it.
02 - You can prep this in advance and store it covered in the fridge until it’s time to cook.
