Easy Beef Layered Bake (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Meat and Pasta

01 - 12 ounces wide egg noodles
02 - 1 pound ground chicken, turkey, or lean beef

→ Sauce Base

03 - 1 teaspoon onion powder
04 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
05 - 1 (6 oz) can of tomato paste
06 - 1/2 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
07 - 1 teaspoon salt (or adjust to taste)
08 - 1 (14.5 oz) can of diced tomatoes
09 - 1 (10 oz) can of diced tomatoes with green chilies (like Rotel)

→ Dairy

10 - 1 cup mozzarella, shredded
11 - 2 cups cheddar, shredded
12 - 1 cup parmesan cheese, finely grated
13 - 1 cup plain Greek yogurt or sour cream

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to heat to 350°F. Give a 9x13 pan a good coat of cooking spray.
02 - Cook the ground meat in a big pan until browned. Get rid of any grease, add seasonings, diced tomatoes, and paste. Let it bubble for 15-20 minutes.
03 - Boil your noodles until just tender (al dente). Drain and mix them with sour cream.
04 - In the greased dish, layer noodles at the bottom, add the meat mixture on top, then scatter all the cheeses over everything.
05 - Pop it into the oven for about 20-25 minutes until it’s bubbling and golden. Let it sit for 5 minutes before digging in.

# Notes:

01 - Keep some pasta water to mix in for creamier noodles.
02 - Cook meat sauce longer for stronger flavors.
03 - Use foil if the top is getting too dark before it’s done.
