05 - 1 tsp black pepper
06 - 1 tbsp brown sugar

07 - 3 tbsp cold water
08 - 1 cup broth from beef
09 - 3 tbsp cornstarch
10 - 2 tsp yellow mustard
11 - 1.5 cups tomato ketchup

→ Cheese & Serving

12 - 1 1/2 cups grated cheddar split in half
13 - Serve with crispy bagel chips or toasted bread slices

# Instructions:

01 - Place the rack 6 inches below the broiler and set the oven to broil.
02 - In an oven-ready skillet, cook beef, onion, sugar, and seasonings until there's no pink left. Optional: drain excess fat.
03 - Mix ketchup, mustard, and beef broth into the skillet. Stir in a cornstarch-water solution, letting it thicken.
04 - Take skillet off heat and stir in 1 cup of cheddar until it melts. Sprinkle leftover cheese on top.
05 - Broil for 3-5 minutes until the cheese bubbles and looks golden. Serve with crispy bread or chips.

# Notes:

01 - Excess fat can be removed after meat cooks for a leaner dish
02 - Cheese tastes best when served hot
