Garlic Shrimp Butter (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 4 garlic cloves, finely chopped
02 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
03 - 3 tablespoons butter
04 - 1 pound shrimp, deveined and peeled

→ Seasonings and Flavors

05 - A pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
06 - Half a cup of dry white wine or broth
07 - Juice from one lemon
08 - Quarter cup of fresh parsley, minced
09 - Salt and black pepper, adjusted to your taste

→ For Serving

10 - Grated Parmesan cheese, about 1/4 cup (optional)
11 - Serve with pasta or crunchy bread

# Instructions:

01 - Place a big pan over medium heat and melt the butter with the oil. Toss in the garlic and red pepper (if you like) and stir for about one minute until you smell the aroma, but don’t let it burn.
02 - Spread the prepared shrimp in the skillet, ensuring there’s space between each one. Let them cook for roughly 2 minutes on each side, just until they're no longer translucent and are fully pink. Remove and set aside on a plate once done.
03 - In the same pan, pour in some white wine or broth and scrape up any bits stuck to the bottom. Let it cook for a couple of minutes so the liquid reduces and starts to thicken slightly.
04 - Lower the heat and mix in the lemon juice and parsley. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. Add the shrimp back and gently coat them in the sauce, letting them warm up.
05 - Dish up right away with the shrimp and sauce poured over pasta or next to crusty bread. Sprinkle some Parmesan on top if you'd like.

# Notes:

01 - This Shrimp Scampi dish turns easy ingredients into a fancy meal in no time at all—20 minutes max.
02 - Fresh shrimp works best, and remember, don't leave them on the heat too long or they’ll get chewy.
