Honey Apple Fizzy Drink (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Apple Syrup Ingredients

01 - 3 tart green apples (like Granny Smith)
02 - 4 tablespoons of honey
03 - 2 cups plain water

→ Extras for Serving

04 - Club soda or sparkling water
05 - Ice cubes

# Instructions:

01 - Take out the cores from your green apples and cut them up into little chunks. Try to move fast since the apples can start turning brown when they're exposed to air.
02 - Toss the apple pieces, water, and honey into a big saucepan. Heat them until it boils, then lower the temperature and let it gently bubble. Stir now and then, squashing the apples with a spoon as they soften to get more juice out. Let it go for 15 minutes.
03 - Turn off the heat and let the mixture sit until it's fully cooled. Use a fine-mesh sieve to drain the liquid into a container or bowl, pressing the leftovers lightly to get out all the juices. Dump the solids afterward.
04 - Drop about 2-3 tablespoons of the apple syrup into a glass. Pour club soda or sparkling water on top, toss in ice to your liking, and gently mix everything together.

# Notes:

01 - This fizzy drink brings together the zingy flavor of green apples with the sweetness from honey, giving you a fancy non-alcoholic option.
02 - Keep the homemade apple syrup in your fridge for up to 5 days. It lets you whip up these drinks whenever you're in the mood.
