Husband Casserole Budget (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main

01 - 1 small onion, chopped into tiny pieces
02 - 1 lb of lean ground beef
03 - A pinch of salt and pepper, use as you like
04 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder for flavor
05 - One (15 oz) can of tomato sauce
06 - A (10 oz) can of mushroom soup, creamy style
07 - 2 cups cooked pasta—any short type like elbows or rotini
08 - ½ cup smooth sour cream
09 - 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
10 - 1½ cups cheddar cheese, grated
11 - Optional garnish: freshly chopped parsley

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and get a 9x13-inch dish ready by greasing it lightly.
02 - In a big skillet, cook the ground beef with the onion until the meat loses its pink color and the onion softens. Drain the grease, then mix in garlic powder, salt, and some pepper.
03 - Add the mushroom soup, tomato sauce, and sour cream into the beef mixture. Mix everything up and heat it until it’s nice and warm.
04 - Layer half your cooked pasta in the greased dish. Scoop on half the beef mixture and spread it out evenly. Sprinkle with half your cheddar cheese. Repeat the same process with the remaining pasta, beef mixture, and cheddar cheese.
05 - Spread the mozzarella cheese evenly over the very top layer so it’s fully covered.
06 - Wrap foil tightly over the top of the dish and bake it for 20 minutes. Then, take the foil off and bake another 10 minutes until the cheese gets bubbly and melted.

# Notes:

01 - You can swap the beef with ground turkey or chicken.
02 - Cream of chicken soup is a good swap for the mushroom one.
