Kafta Grilled Skewers (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 600 grams lean ground beef
02 - 1 teaspoon salt
03 - 1 medium yellow onion cut into chunks
04 - 1 cup parsley leaves, cleaned and dried
05 - ¼ teaspoon black pepper
06 - ⅛ teaspoon cayenne or more for added heat
07 - ¼ teaspoon pre-mixed seven spice blend

# Instructions:

01 - Start by putting chopped onion and parsley into your food processor. Use the pulse setting until both are very finely minced.
02 - In a big bowl, toss in your ground beef, minced onion and parsley, plus all the seasonings. Use your hands to work everything together until the mix feels evenly combined.
03 - Grab a bit of the mixture and shape it around a skewer using your hands. The thickness should be around 1 to 1 1/2 inches.
04 - Set up your charcoal or gas grill. For gas, preheat it to medium-high and oil the grates. Get your skewers on the grill, cooking for about 4 minutes per side or until done all the way through.
05 - Serve them hot right away.

# Notes:

01 - Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes to avoid burning.
02 - If seven spice isn't available, allspice works as a replacement.
03 - Shape the mix into patties if you don't want to use skewers.
04 - You can bake these at 375°F for 15–20 minutes if you prefer.
05 - Leftovers last 3-4 days refrigerated or 3 months in the freezer.
