Pizza Tot Bake (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 package (32 oz) frozen tater tots
02 - 2 cups shredded mozzarella or cheddar mix
03 - A small onion, chopped finely
04 - 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning mix
05 - 2 cups of pizza sauce or marinara
06 - 1 lb ground beef (or spicy Italian sausage for a kick)
07 - Salt and black pepper to your liking

08 - 1/4 cup sliced green onions
09 - 1/4 cup mushrooms, thinly sliced
10 - 1/2 a bell pepper, chopped small
11 - 1/2 cup of mini pepperoni
12 - 1/2 cup of sliced black olives

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 400°F (200°C) and coat a casserole dish (9×13 inches) with some cooking spray or a little oil.
02 - Cook the ground beef with the chopped onion in a skillet over medium heat. Stir occasionally until the meat isn't pink, around 5-7 minutes. Drain off the grease.
03 - Add your pizza or marinara sauce, the Italian seasoning, and some salt and pepper to the skillet with the beef. Stir it up nicely and let it cook for a few minutes.
04 - Spread the beef-sauce mixture evenly across the greased dish. On top, scatter 1 cup of shredded cheese across the meat.
05 - Line the tater tots in a single row over the cheesy meat layer. Toss the other cup of cheese across the tots evenly.
06 - Put your dish into the oven and bake it for about 25-30 minutes. You'll know it's ready when the tater tots are crispy and golden, and the cheese is bubbling.
07 - If you'd like, throw on your favorite toppings like olives, peppers, or mini pepperoni. Let it warm up in the oven for another 5 minutes.
08 - Take it out of the oven and wait a few minutes before digging in. It's casserole time!
