Jamaican Shrimp Pasta (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Base

01 - 1 lb shrimp, cleaned and peeled
02 - 12 ounces of penne
03 - 2 tbsp olive oil
04 - 2 tbsp jerk spices, split

→ Veggies

05 - 3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
06 - 1 yellow bell pepper, cut into strips
07 - 1 red bell pepper, cut into strips
08 - 2 green onions, chopped
09 - 1 green bell pepper, cut into strips

→ Sauce Mix

10 - 1 cup of Parmesan cheese, shredded
11 - 1 cup of heavy cream
12 - Splash of broth (chicken or veggie) - about ½ cup
13 - Parsley or cilantro, chopped (optional topping)
14 - Salt and pepper - as much as you like

# Instructions:

01 - Boil the penne in some salty water according to directions on the pack. Drain it afterward and set aside.
02 - Mix the shrimp with 1 tablespoon of jerk spices. In a skillet with oil, cook each side for about 2 minutes until it's pink. Take it out of the pan.
03 - Using the same skillet, sauté the sliced peppers until soft. Toss in the garlic and let that cook for about 60 seconds.
04 - Pour in the broth to scrape up all the tasty bits from the skillet. Add the cream, the other tablespoon of jerk spices, and the Parmesan. Stir until it all comes together smoothly.
05 - Mix the drained pasta with the creamy sauce, toss in the shrimp, and sprinkle with green onions and herbs before serving.

# Notes:

01 - Add more or less jerk spices to fit what you like.
02 - Feel free to use any kind of bell pepper you have.
03 - Vegetable broth works perfectly in place of chicken broth.
