Roasted Sweet Potatoes (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 lbs of sweet potatoes (choose Red Garnet or Jewel yams)
02 - 2 tbsp avocado oil or extra-virgin olive oil
03 - 1 tbsp maple syrup (optional)
04 - ¾ tsp of kosher or sea salt, or ½ tsp table salt
05 - ½ tsp garlic powder
06 - ½ tsp chili powder
07 - ¼ tsp black pepper
08 - ½ tsp ground cinnamon
09 - ½ tsp paprika

# Instructions:

01 - Turn your oven to 425°F and get a big baking pan (15x21) ready by lining it with parchment paper. Two smaller sheets work too.
02 - Peel off the skins and chop the sweet potatoes into ½-inch cubes. If it wobbles, trim a thin piece from the base to steady it, then slice into ½-inch rounds before cubing.
03 - Lay the cubes on the pan and mix them with your olive oil, maple syrup (if using), and all the spices.
04 - Make sure the sweet potato chunks are in a single layer with nothing overlapping or crowding.
05 - Bake at 425°F for about 25-35 minutes. Flip those cubes halfway through at the 15-minute mark.

01 - You can skip the maple syrup if you'd like.
02 - Works great if made in advance.
