Warm Banana Treat (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Topping

01 - ¾ cup pecans, toasted
02 - ¼ cup all-purpose flour
03 - 4 tablespoons chilled butter, diced
04 - ¼ cup brown sugar (light or dark)
05 - ¼ cup rolled oats

→ Filling

06 - ¼ cup freshly squeezed orange juice
07 - 6 medium bananas, sliced into 1-inch pieces
08 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
09 - ½ cup packed brown sugar (light or dark)
10 - ⅛ teaspoon sea salt
11 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

→ Serving

12 - Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream

# Instructions:

01 - Mix the flour, oats, brown sugar, and butter with your hands until it gets crumbly. Fold in the pecans. Chill the mixture in the fridge while working on the filling.
02 - In a 10-inch cast iron skillet over a low flame, melt the butter. Add the brown sugar, stirring until it’s completely smooth (takes around 3 minutes). Carefully pour in the orange juice—it'll bubble! Add cinnamon and salt, cooking for about a minute until slightly syrupy.
03 - Gently stir in the banana pieces until they’re all coated. Spread them evenly along with the sauce in the skillet.
04 - Take the skillet off the burner. Scatter the topping evenly on the bananas. Pop the skillet in a 350°F oven and let it bake for 20 minutes until everything’s nice and golden on top.
05 - Cool for about 10 minutes before serving. Pair with ice cream or whipped cream for the best experience.

# Notes:

01 - Tastes best when enjoyed warm
02 - Works with any oven-safe skillet
