# Ingredients:

→ Meat and Pasta

01 - 1-1/4 lbs ground beef or Italian sausage
02 - 12 pieces of lasagna pasta
03 - 2 (8-oz) cans of tomato sauce
04 - 1 tsp of dried Italian herbs
05 - 1 (24-oz) jar of marinara sauce

→ Cheesy Mix

06 - 1 egg, stirred up
07 - 1 (24-oz) tub of cottage cheese
08 - 1 Tbsp of parsley flakes, dried
09 - 1/4 cup of sour cream
10 - 1 (8-oz) block of softened cream cheese

→ Topping and Layering

11 - 1/2 cup of grated parmesan cheese
12 - 1 lb of mozzarella cheese, sliced

# Instructions:

01 - Turn on the oven to 375ºF. Boil lasagna pasta based on the box instructions, drain the water, and put it aside.
02 - On medium heat, brown the sausage in a pan. Drain extra fat and mix in tomato sauce, marinara sauce, and herbs. Let it simmer for 5-10 minutes till it thickens up.
03 - In a bowl, mix together the cottage cheese, softened cream cheese, sour cream, stirred egg, and dried parsley flakes.
04 - Grease a 9x13-inch dish. Spread a cup of meat filling at the bottom. Lay down 6 lasagna pieces, making sure they overlap slightly.
05 - Add half the cheese mixture, a third of the mozzarella slices, half the meat mix, and sprinkle 1/4 cup parmesan. Repeat the layers, finishing with the leftover cheese mix at the top, and cover with foil.
06 - Put it in the oven, covered, for 25 minutes. Take off the foil and bake for another 30 minutes until it’s bubbling. Let it sit for 15 minutes, then dig in.

# Notes:

01 - You can make this in advance and freeze it
02 - If frozen, let it thaw fully before cooking
03 - Feel free to swap out the beef for another meat
04 - Shredded mozzarella works instead of slices
