Honey Chicken Mac (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 5 slices of bacon, fried and crumbled
02 - 16 oz of spiral pasta
03 - fresh basil leaves
04 - pinch of salt and pepper
05 - 25 oz fried chicken tenders

→ Honey Pepper Sauce

06 - 3 tablespoons of reduced-sodium soy sauce
07 - 1 tablespoon vinegar
08 - ¾ cup of honey
09 - juice from one lemon
10 - ¼ cup pineapple juice
11 - ¼ cup packed light brown sugar
12 - ¼ teaspoon cayenne powder
13 - 1 teaspoon cracked black pepper

→ Cheese Sauce

14 - ¾ cup colby jack cheese, shredded fresh
15 - ½ cup parmesan cheese, freshly grated
16 - 2-3 cloves garlic, minced small
17 - 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded fresh
18 - 2 cups heavy cream
19 - 1 stick of butter

# Instructions:

01 - Boil the pasta and cook the chicken strips by following their packages.
02 - Stir all the sauce ingredients in a pan, bring to a boil, then lower to a simmer for 15 minutes until it's thick.
03 - Warm the butter with cream. Toss in cheeses one at a time and mix. Drop in the garlic and season as you like.
04 - Stir the bacon pieces into the creamy pasta. Toss the chicken tenders in the honey sauce until they're fully coated.
05 - Serve up the pasta, layer the sticky chicken strips on top, and sprinkle with basil or extra bacon if you want.
