# Ingredients:

→ Bars

01 - 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
02 - 3/4 cup sugar
03 - 1 cup butter (softened)
04 - 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
05 - 1 tsp baking soda
06 - 1 tsp vanilla extract
07 - 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
08 - 2 eggs
09 - 1 tsp salt

→ Caramel Sauce

10 - 1 bag (14 oz) caramels
11 - 1/2 cup peanut butter
12 - 5 oz evaporated milk

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 375°F and lightly grease a 9x13 pan.
02 - In a small bowl, stir together baking soda, salt, and flour. In a separate large mixing bowl, beat together brown sugar, sugar, vanilla, and butter until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time and mix well. Slowly stir in the dry ingredients. Finish by folding in the chocolate chips.
03 - Spread half the dough evenly in the pan. Pop it into the oven for about 8 to 10 minutes. Take it out once it’s baked.
04 - While the bottom layer bakes, melt the caramels with the evaporated milk using a double boiler. Stir in the peanut butter once the caramel mix is smooth. Spread this over the baked base layer.
05 - Spoon the leftover dough on top of the caramel mix in small drops or chunks.
06 - Put everything back in the oven and bake for another 15-20 minutes. Take them out when they’re golden on top.

# Notes:

01 - Wait for them to cool all the way down before slicing if you want clean edges.
02 - Keep them fresh in a sealed container for up to five days.
